Curatorial premise

Material Imaginaries examines Brazilian making as a field where inherited knowledge, collective memory and individual authorship intersect.

Rather than positioning craft and art as opposing categories, the exhibition focuses on the unstable space between them: the moment when a shared practice acquires a recognizable voice.
